Welcome to your Arcade Online program page. We are so excited that you are dancing from home! Here you will find everything you need for your online dance journey! Now let’s get ready to DANCE!
Look the part, dance the part! Wearing proper dance wear such as a leotard or other fitted clothing avoids unnecessary distractions and restrictions to performing the movement. It also allows your online instructors to see body alignment and posture so they can give proper corrections.
It is important when dancing at home to ensure enough space to move around safely. Clear away obstacles or tripping hazards and secure pets in another room away from the dance space. The dance space should allow for movement 2 feet in any direction.
Before class starts, position your device at least 3 feet off the ground and at a good distance from the dance space in a place at where it can be seen easily and where the camera for live classes will show the majority of the body. Make sure the device has a strong internet connection. Place it as close to the modem/router as possible, and ask other household members to take a break from their devices while you take your class.
The Program
Live Tiny Toes dance classes will be hosted every Wednesday at 4:00pm EDT (Toronto) via the Zoom meeting app. These classes will explore Ballet basics and Jazz dance fundamentals. In addition dancers can follow along to any of the listed CLI classes at anytime. We have combed through the CLI catalogue and picked out the right videos for the Tiny Toes age group, including a few that will introduce Tap dance. Additional pre-recorded classes may be added throughout the month. Tappers age 5 who have already taken Tap before also have the option to participate in the live Mini/Jr Tap class every Wednesday at 4:45pm EDT.
Zoom meetings are password protected and passwords emailed with your registration confirmation. If you have trouble joining a live class, please text message the office at 905-333-1121 for real time troubleshooting.
