Kristen Klopko
Studio Owner, Dance Instructor, PAEC Jazz, Tap & Urban
Miss Klopko began her dance studies at the age of 4 at Tinda Holland’s School of Dance and the Oakville School of Ballet. She then studied Jazz, Tap, Ballet and Acro at Performing Dance Arts and Canadian Dance Company as a competitive dancer and has competed in several competitions across the GTA & the United States including the Showstopper’s National Dance Championship Finals. Miss Klopko graduated from Cawthra Park Secondary School of the Arts where she successfully completed the Peel Regional Arts Program majoring in dance where she studied Ballet and Modern techniques, kinesiology, dance theory and dance composition. While attending high school she continued her dance studies outside of the arts program at the Randolph School and Metro Movement. In 2001 Miss Klopko attended Brock University in St. Catharines and graduated with a degree in Social Science/Humanities majoring in Film Studies. While at Brock, she co-founded Brock Dance, a university dance organization that boasted over 200 members during her Presidency from 2003-2005. The club has since become a staple at the university and is now apart of the university athletics council.
Miss Klopko is the proud owner of Arcade Dance Arts and has been teaching in the Greater Toronto Area for over a decade at such reputable studios as The Turning Pointe Academy of Dance (North York), The Edge Performing Arts (Oakville), InMotion Dance (Oakville), and the Alda Heniss School of Classical Ballet (Brampton). She made her home at the Lorraine Bedini Dance Studio in Burlington where she instructed Jazz, Lyrical and Hip Hop for 8 years until taking ownership in 2013 and re-establishing the studio as Arcade Dance Arts. She is an active member of the Performing Arts Educators of Canada with a Full Membership in Jazz, Tap and Urban Dance. She is a current PAEC Executive Board member and helped developed the examination syllabi in 2008 as the Chair of the Urban Dance division.
