Beginning as a gymnast at a young age, Melissa Jennings joined Lois Laxton Dance Studio at the age of 8. Studying all dance disciplines at LLDS, she became a successful competitive dancer as well as choreographer. and completed her examinations in Ballet, Tap, and Jazz with C.D.T.A and P.A.E.C. Miss Melissa has also travelled to Greece with the Lois Laxton dancers in 2005 where she performed at various venues on land and at sea. Melissa has been teaching for thirteen years and regularly attends workshops to further her knowledge and share her continued passion and love of dance with her future students and staff. She holds Associate Certification with the Performing Arts Educators of Canada in both Acro and Jazz as well as a degree in Philosophy from McMaster University. Miss Melissa also studied culinary arts and continues to work in the culinary arts industry.
