Established in 2013 by owner and studio director Kristen Klopko, Arcade Dance Arts was built out of the former Lorraine Bedini Dance Studio and is one of Burlington’s leading providers of high quality recreational dance programming for all ages..  We offer classes in a variety of dance disciplines including Ballet, Hip Hop, Jazz and Tap as well as additional classes in Acro, Contemporary, Lyrical, Pointe, and Musical Theatre.

It is our mission as a dance establishment to offer the best overall dance studio experience by providing a high quality dance education within a clean, safe, welcoming, and artistically nurturing environment.  It is our goal to provide a strong sense of community within our studio and offer a wide selection of opportunities for our students to reach their individual social, emotional, physical and creative goals through a variety of customizable programs and performance opportunities.  Our main objective is to aid all our students on their journey to becoming successful, creative and confident individuals of good character.

We believe that every student should have the same high quality dance education!

The dance programming at Arcade Dance Arts builds its foundation on the methods and syllabi of the Performing Arts Educators of Canada (PAEC). Utilizing the PAEC syllabi helps dancers develop their technique in a safe, progressive manner and ensures the same high standard is maintained across the board in each class.  The PAEC curriculum also prepares students for the option to participate in PAEC dance examinations provides a consistent and comprehensive curriculum for students whether they dance only 1 hour or 6 hours a week.

Our instructors are professional, passionate and dedicated!

We employ only highly qualified, professionally trained or PAEC certified dance instructors. Our instructors strive to bring out the best technique, performance and creative expression in each student while instilling confidence, self-discipline and teamwork as a compliment to their technical development. Our instructors are dedicated to continuously developing themselves as dance educators so they can offer the best in dance education to their students. They attend annual workshops and seminars with the industries top professional choreographers and educators to update their teaching methodologies so they can continue to engage and motivate students and provide them with what they need to have a high quality dance education, achieve personal success and develop confidence, character and creativity through the art of dance.

We offer a wide variety of performance opportunities

For many dancers, the best part of it all is performing and at Arcade Dance Arts we believe that dancers progress more when they perform more.   We strive to provide multiple opportunities throughout the year for students to apply their developed skills and artistry in a performance based atmosphere.  All students have the opportunity to perform  in a holiday event at the end of Term 1 and the Spring Recital at the end of Term 3.  Acro, Ballet, Hip Hop, Jazz, Modern and Tap students have the option to participate in PAEC examinations and for those interested in performing with our competitive dance teams, the studio offers additional performance opportunities at 1 to 3 competitions annually.  Arcade Dance Arts also periodically offers dancers the opportunity to join our performance team and tour abroad, on cruise ships or at Disney World / Disney Land resorts and theme parks.
